Tips to Finding the Best Hotels for your Stay

Whether you are staying in the United Kingdom or travelling abroad, accommodation is a must. There are different options, including motels (in the United States and Canada), hotels, youth hostels and school lodgings. You need to find somewhere that is safe and within your budget. Here are some tips to help find the best hotels so you can enjoy your holiday.

1.    Use Price Comparison Websites for the Cost: If you have a tight budget, price comparison websites are a great way to find something within that. Even if you don’t have a tight budget, you can still benefit from these types of websites. They allow you to research the different hotels by just putting your details in once. You can also change the details to see if you can get a better deal if you travel on a different date. The listings will be in price order and let you know more about the holiday destinations to help you make your choice.

2.    Find Out More About the Accommodation: You need to know more about the additions that come with the accommodation. How many people will it sleep? Do they have space for a travel cot if you need it? Will they offer breakfast? The majority of hotels will offer bed and breakfast but many are now making them fully self-catering so you have to find somewhere to eat out the whole time, which could really put a dent in your wallet.

3.    When Do They Expect Payment? Some companies want you to pay on booking while others will allow you to reserve the room to pay for it at a later date. Both have their pros and cons but make sure you know which one it is before you make the reservation. If you find that it is just reserved, make sure you have the money on the date expected for payment – usually when you are leaving the hotel.

4.    The Reputation of the Company: Just because you’ve found a cheap hotel doesn’t mean that it is the best for you. You will need to find out more about the hotel’s reputation. Have other guests rated it for its comfortable beds or have they slammed it for the poor customer service? This will help you make sure you are happy during your stay and can enjoy your holiday.

5.    The Location of the Accommodation: Cheap is great but what if it is on the outskirts of your holiday destination? You need to make sure that you will not end up paying the extra you save in the travel to make sure that this accommodation was worth that money. If you have to travel a lot, it will take time out of your day and you will not be able to enjoy your activities as much.

Finding the perfect hotel, whether you are staying in the UK or travelling to Cala Llonga, Ibiza, is more than just finding somewhere cheap. The location needs to be perfect and you want to make sure the company will look after your every need.
